Polio NZ and On the Go Physio are pleased to be opening the Christchurch Polio NZ Hub. Jessie Snowdon and the team at On the Go Physio are now able to offer allied and complementary services for people living with the Late Effects of Polio, alongside those services already provided by the Duncan Foundation, to members of Polio New Zealand residing in the Canterbury district.

The Duncan Foundation initial assessment gives people a good basis to identify needs and options. The purpose of the Christchurch Polio NZ Hub is to support people to achieve their goals for better wellbeing in a way that suits them.

The services include occupational therapy home visits and support, peer support, dietician assessment and follow up, massage therapy,  lymphedema management and follow up,  and  speech therapy. The services could also include special meetings, presentations and creative workshops depending on demand.
